Agriculture is a growing industry that utilizes advances in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics on a daily basis, all disciplines that are a part of the interpretation of the museum. A trip to the Agricultural Museum of South Carolina will fulfill STEM and History requirements for K-12 students and beyond.

Science and Technology Tours

of the Agricultural Museum &

Woodburn Plantation Home

Novemebr 28th & December 2nd, 13th, & 19th

10:00am-12:30pm // price – $8

“The AG” – we will highlight the cotton gin, the steel plow, and the McCormick Reaper, and show how these advances in technology led to western expansion.

Woodburn – here we will show how homes were built, heated, cooled, and lived in using basic knowledge of science and the limited technology of the 19th century.
